Your data and Rydelitics

Written to describe what the product actually does today — nothing more.

Last updated: 29 Sep 2026

Who is responsible

Rydelitics is responsible for the personal data described here. For any privacy question or request, email paul@rydelitics.co.uk.

What is collected

Account and profile

Your email address and sign-in details, a display name if you give one, and when your account was created. Your password is handled by the sign-in service; Rydelitics never sees it.

Rider DNA

Your goal and priorities, experience, rides per week, riding days and whether they are flexible, session and long-ride time, strength preferences and whether you have a heart-rate monitor or power meter.

Rides you enter

Date, distance, time, climbing, heart rate, speed, cadence, power, effort, leg feel and ride type.

Strava (optional, temporary)

Only if you connect Strava. Rydelitics reads each ride's date, start time, type, moving and elapsed time, distance, climbing, heart rate, cadence and measured power — including rides set to "Only You". It never reads maps, routes, locations, photos, names, descriptions, segments, gear or anything social. Connection status and last sync time are kept while connected.

Wellbeing check-ins

Your own ratings for sleep, legs, energy and motivation, whether you feel unwell, and a yes/no for pain or injury affecting your riding. This is health-related, so Rydelitics only uses it with your explicit consent (see below).

Strength, plans and today

Strength sessions, the session you plan to do, and today's time or constraints you tell Rydelitics.

Target date

An optional event or goal: name, date, type and distance.

Recommendations and learning

The recommendations Rydelitics gave you, whether you followed, changed or skipped them, and your answers on how they felt (too much, about right, too easy). Also whether two rides are the same recording or separate, when you tell us.

Feedback

Beta feedback and "Was this useful?" answers, with any note.

Founding 50 and product events

A Founding Rider place if you claim one, simple internal milestones (for example "signed up" or "completed Rider DNA"), a short source label if you arrived through a tagged link, and waitlist sign-ups (first name and email).

Membership and subscription

If you become a member, a minimal record of your membership: its status, plan reference, current period dates and whether it is set to cancel, plus the payment provider's customer and subscription references. Card and bank details are handled only by the external payment provider and are never seen or stored by Rydelitics. The record is included in your download and, when you delete your account, any live subscription is cancelled first and the record is deleted. An earlier "membership interest" record, if you made one, is handled the same way.

Where it comes from and how it is used

Sources

From you directly, and from Strava only if you choose to connect it.

Personalised cycling guidance

Rydelitics uses your data to check readiness and safety, choose and explain your next session, show Progress, run your four-week Improvement Loop, and learn from your answers how its recommendations suit you. These are worked out when you open the app from your records — there is no hidden score.

Running the service

Keeping it secure, working and free of abuse.

Improving the beta

Understanding what is confusing or unhelpful, using minimal internal counts and your feedback. No external analytics platform is used.

Never

Rydelitics does not sell your personal data, does not use it for advertising or ad targeting, and does not use Strava data to train AI models.

The basis Rydelitics relies on

Your account and training data

Needed to provide the service you asked for (performance of a contract), where that applies.

Security and product improvement

Rydelitics' legitimate interests in keeping the service secure and improving it, kept to the minimum needed.

Strava

A connection you start and can stop at any time; it is used to provide the ride features you asked for.

Wellbeing check-ins

Your explicit consent, asked for separately the first time you check in. Without it, check-ins are not saved or used, and the rest of Rydelitics still works.

This describes the basis Rydelitics relies on for this service. It is not legal advice.

Who helps provide the service

Hosting and database

The app is built and hosted with Lovable, and account sign-in and data storage run on its managed Supabase backend. They process data only to provide the service. Once paid membership opens, an external payment provider will process payments; it will be named here when connected.

Strava

Only if you connect it, as the source of your rides.

How long it is kept

Strava ride copies

At most 7 days, then deleted automatically.

Your own records

Kept while your account exists, unless you delete them or your account. An old target stays in your history when you remove or replace it.

Wellbeing check-ins

Until you withdraw consent or delete your account. Withdrawing deletes them, along with your recommendation history and feedback that may reflect them.

Founding Rider place

Linked to you while your account exists. If you delete your account, only a non-identifying record that the numbered place was claimed is kept, so the 50-place count stays accurate. Internal milestones lose their link to you.

Your rights and controls

Access and download

Download everything linked to your account as one file from Account & Data. Strava access keys are never included.

Correction

Edit Rider DNA, rides and targets at any time.

Deletion

Delete your account and rider data yourself from Account & Data.

Withdraw wellbeing consent

From Account & Data, at any time. It stops check-ins being used and deletes them.

Restriction, objection and portability

Where these apply to how your data is used, email paul@rydelitics.co.uk. Not every right applies in the same way in every situation.

Complaints

You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Automated guidance

Rydelitics uses automated rules about your riding and recovery (a form of profiling) to suggest cycling training. It does not make legal or similarly significant decisions about you. Rydelitics recommends; you always choose what you actually do.

Not a medical service

Rydelitics provides cycling training guidance and is not a medical service. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. If you feel unwell or have a health concern, speak to a qualified professional.
